Not too far from Cleburne Nest due to a little-known shortcut road, and a fantastic zoo to take kids. It's not a giant walk-all-day event which can be quite nice when you're on holidays. Lots of free interaction with native and barnyard animals. Good value and a lovely quiet place to visit

Only a couple of minutes drive from Cleburne Nest, this is a lovely place for a walk. Walk around the dam, enjoy the peace, and have a BBQ if you want. There's public toilets here too.

It's a bit of a drive but feeding the salmon and trout while walking the grounds after having a selection of savoury and sweet crepes and local wines is a very relaxing, and little-known day trip. A good place to have lunch if you're planning to visit New Norfolk anyway.

This is our favourite authentic Indian restaurant in Hobart. Cosy, warm, and absolutely amazing food. Parking may sometimes be difficult and require a bit of a walk. Totally worth it though!
