Jimmies is famous and it's on the beach, but that's about all it has going for it. I haven't eaten there because it has such horrible reviews on Tripadvisor.com and urbanspoon.com. Overpriced.

Decent seafood, of the diner-on-the-beach variety (that's diner, not dinner), reasonable prices. You can walk to it on the beach quite easily.

Go to the beach, turn left, and just keep walking. You'll find yourself on a jetty in the middle of the Harbor with just a few people fishing. They will eagerly show you their catch and discuss bait.

One town south is Milford, where this park is, with a boardwalk through a nature preserve. Lovely, though the boardwalk sustained some damage from Sandy that may not be fully repaired.
