Our cherished local -owned by Hydes brewery- is one of very few remaining traditional pubs in an area. The junction pub has run jams for over thirty years and still puts on excellent DJ nights.

The park was originally designed by Alexander McKenzie back in 1863, as a park and promenade ground.
It consists of a delightful mixture of informal woodland, open grassland, formal gardens and attractions such as the boating lake, the Lakeside Terrace Cafe, RunEngland's 3-2-1 running & jogging routes and a pitch-and-putt course.
