The museum is ultra modern, bright and state-of-the art. There are five main sections. The Gallery of the Slopes takes a look at structures on the slopes, sanctuaries, settlements and artifacts found during excavation there. Visitors can look down through a glass floor to see excavated areas. The Archaic Gallery (7th century BC-479BC) covers the ancient temple; the Hekatompedon, the Acropolis' oldest structure and the votives, offerings made to the gods.
