Beautifully restored building that served as the town grocery store back in 1874. Walkable from bunkhouse, but driving recommended in cold months. Great pub fare, burgers, plus upscale dishes.

Another new restaurant serving a great variety of "grown up grilled cheese sandwhiches" along with soups, salads, and creative dishes. Cozy, smaller space, just a 5 minute drive from the bunkhouse.

This place is a bit more of a drive (maybe 10 minutes) on Hwy 40 coming into Heber but it's a great place for lunch, as the views from the deck are beautiful, overlooking the North Fields of Heber Valley. Their fried chicken and mashed potatoes are one of my favorites. Great for dinner too, but you won't get to see those beautiful pastoral views.

Magical man-made ice castles to tour during winter months, weather permitting (as temps must be cold enough to support ice castle structures). Tickets sale out fast. Highly recommended. Great photo opps.

Fun outdoor ice skating rink in the park, right up the street from the bunkhouse. A short walk to the park, grab your skates, and enjoy a fun winter past-time with a hot cup of cocoa afterwards.

Fabulous winter venue for tubing, cross-country skiing, and dining in the lodge. The tubing hill is a blast! Soldier Hollow in Wasatch Mountain State Park near Midway offers the longest tubing lanes in Utah. The hill has lengthy 1,200-foot sliding lanes with lift service for towing people up the hill for tubing day or night under the lights, and a sound system keeps the airwaves full of enjoyable tunes.
A trip to the Soldier Hollow tubing hill is affordable family fun—where kids are kids, and adults get the chance to be kids again. People literally race to get back in line as quickly as possible for another plunge. It’s a great outdoor activity for everyone to participate.
