Hike the Monroe trail and your reward is a stunning view of Coloma and Trouble Maker rapid on the South Fork of the American River. You can drive to the Marshall Monument overlook but you must hike to the best scenic view. Or leave from our house and take the loop trail, 3 miles round trip! Sacred Washoe ginding stone rock, gold panning, historic houses/buildings, relaxing spots by river, public kayak/raft put-in.
