One of many wonderful pizza restaurants and brew pubs nearby. A bit loud for my tastes but the brews and pizzas are great. Lots to choose from. Friendly gregarious place with long picnic table seating.

We've been going here for fine Italian food since it open many years ago. Tucked away in a very nondescript shopping center, this white tablecloth restaurant is a true gem. Amazing food. Attentive help and homey at the same time. Go, you won't be disappointed.

This promenade pretty much circles all of Lady Bird Lake (formerly Town Lake). Plenty of room to walk or ride bikes and savor the beauty of the lake while taking in our many new skyscrapers. Personally I feel I'm in a Twilight Zone episode as I was born here in 1954 and it so different now! Still very serene and beautiful, just way grown up.

A great place to explore a variety of shops and restaurants, many of them local. From Allens Boots for boots (duh) and Western wear to STAG for very upscale men's clothing and Guerros Taco Bar for music and Mexican food to OTOKO featuring omakase tasting menus and cocktails.

This large warehouse space is like and interactive art display and children's museum for adults and kids alike. I'd say it's actually more geared towards adults. It's fun. I recommend it highly.
