Getting Around
There is a bus stop in Pahoa that will connect you to the Hilo/Puna areas. There is also a stop at Four Corners in kapoho. That is about a 10min drive from the Jungle Studio. Hitchhiking is what most people do in this area.

Almost all the car rentals are located in Hilo. Most of them are at the airport to make it easy on travelers. I think having a car is the best way to go on the Big Island. It can get very expensive to rent a car in this area.
