This food hall is the latest endeavour by the Big Mamma group who has taken the Parisian italian restaurant scene by storm. The food hall is within Station F, a startup hub. So think hip, edgy deco and good food and drinks.

A really nice village-y atmosphere reigns in la Butte-aux-Cailles. Most evenings you will find people, especially students, spilling out from the various bars and restaurants along rue de la butte-aux-cailles and rue des cinq diamants. Keep your eyes peeled for the various street art - the 13th's reputation for street art started here!

A really nice village-y atmosphere reigns in la Butte-aux-Cailles. Most evenings you will find people, especially students, spilling out from the various bars and restaurants along rue de la butte-aux-cailles and rue des cinq diamants. Keep your eyes peeled for the various street art - the 13th's reputation for street art started here!
Nice local, down to earth resto-bar. Don't expect a chic interior!! I like the atmosphere and they do a great veggie burger :) Good for a couple of glasses of wine and a cheese plate with mates.

Parks & Nature
It used to be my local park so I'd love walking there early morning seeing dedicated joggers and the peaceful heron. There's a creperie that does a tasty salted butter caramel crepe - I think it's called La Bonbonnière (near to small fairground rides).
Great place for a picnic and sunbathing too! Though of course, this is Paris so as soon as there is nice weather, expect all green areas to be packed. Go early to get a good space!

Metro, bus, tram, RER or by foot - choice is yours!
Line 14 great for central and north-western Paris within 20 - 30 mins. RER C for les Invalides and Tour Eiff. Tram for outskirts.
If not in a rush, take bus 27, notably the return journey from Opera. Lovely itinerary down Av. de l'Opéra, past the Louvre and over the Seine before heading towards St Michel.
Walk down to the Seine and take a left down the stairs at the Tolbiac bridge. On the quayside, you'll wander past numerous boats and bars. Further on, you will go through the Jardin Tino Rossi where open air salsa and tango dancing takes place in the summer. Keep going to see Notre Dame!
