This is our Go-to place for Mexican in Burnsville. I'm pretty sure it's currently the only place for Mexican but at least it's good. They have good service, a salsa bar, and a real bar. What else do you need.

Pretty much everyone in my family likes this place. Soups, salads, good home cooked typed food with a nice ambiance. Usually a little busy and check the hours as they mainly open for lunch I believe.

The hippest place to meet your friends, use wifi and people watch in town. Amazing coffee. I get the grilled chicken salad with mandarins, it comes with an asian dressing and and bunch of goodies. It's too big for the plate so I ask for it in a big bowl from the kitchen and then I dig in. You wouldn't think to go upstairs but that's where we go. It's quiet and cozy up there with some board and card games to pass the time. Sit by the window for a view.

If you are already heading to Mt. Mitchell or the Blue Ridge Parkway stop at this waterfall. It's an easy hike and just a breath taking waterfall. If you have good knees you can take a small trail to the top but the view is best from the bottom.
