For a traditional hungarian meal, like mummy's cooking at home, with quality ingredients. You might need reservation, because it is almost always full.
On the other hand it's worth it's reputation :-)

It is bright and open, the staff is helpful and the food is fantastic. If the weather allows it has a wonderful place to sit outside on the peedestrian street 'Pilvax koz'. Good selection of drinks, both local (and English). Staff always friendly and all speak English along with Hungarian.

This hill has nice green areas all around and a fortess on the top with a beautiful view over the city. Don't forget to check it at night. :-)

It is near Heroes square where there are 2 galleries for art (one for classical paintings and sculptures and one for contemporary exhibitions). All of these were built in 1896 for the world exhibition in Budapest. And there has been some wonderful renovations recently in the park. Also with some ongoing new projects (new Music hall, new museums...)
There is a huge new creative playground that can be fun with kids.
