Best ribs, burgers, chicken wings I've tasted so far in Bangkok! I'm sure everything else served is excellent too, but I can't stop eating the above.
They always have a decent selection of guest beers also and the pricing is quite reasonable for the quality.

The best Vietnamese food I've found so far in Bangkok and at standard Thai prices too! I visit regularly and have never had a bad dish here.
I recommend the naem nuang moo (pork), kung pan oi and stuffed chickens legs; delicious!

This is an excellent restaurant showcasing the food from the Northeast region of Thailand (Issan). Forget your pad thais and green currys, since living here Issan food is what I think of when I think of Thai food.
The quality here is top notch which makes the pricing very reasonable, despite it being a bit higher than typical Issan food prices.
If you're completely new to Issan food, I would recommend trying:
- Somtam Thai (pappaya salad, a national favourite)
- Laab moo (a spicy pork mince salad, another popular dish)
- Nua dad deow (sundried beef deep fried, delicious!)
- Namtok (similar to laab, but with chopped meat instead
of minced)
Other advice would be to be adventurous. They have English menus on request and the selection is vast.

A very Thai hangout with live bands covering Thai songs and the occasional international hit. A varied selection of local and international beers along with a cocktail menu and a wide choice of food.

Bang Namphueng is in the heart of Bang Krachao, otherwise known as 'The Green Lungs of Bangkok'. This market is possibly my favourite market to visit during the daytime. There are very few tourists and the choice of food and other things on offer are a true local treat. Add to this the local prices and you will see why I go back regularly.
To get here, take a taxi to Bang Nahmpueng Pier and get the river taxi across (it only has 1 stop). Get a taxi motorbike on the other side straight to the market or does as other visitors do and hire bicycles so you can spend the day discovering the entire area.

Udom Suk BTS Station is your main port of call for getting around Bangkok. Here you can take the BTS to the city and beyond or catch one of the free/cheap buses that go from the street to the various malls nearby.
Grabbing a taxi is simple, just walk to the corner of the soi (street) where 7/11 is and call any passing taxi (there will always be many). When grabbing a taxi outside, always say your destination and ask "go by metre?" before getting in. Ordering a taxi to pick you up from the condo building is equally simple, just dial 1681 at any time, day or night. Just tell them "Sense Condo, Sukhumvit 68 (pronounced "sook-oom-vit hok-sip-baerd").
