Just walk take the beach in front of our house north and you will be in the park within 3 minutes. The unique shoreline of ancient coquina rock formations that line the Atlantic beach creates the perfect spot for beachcombing, tidal pool exploring, and photography. Go west through the park, cross A1A and you will see the vegetation change as the stressors of the ocean become less. The western gardens offer visitors a peaceful stroll through winding reflection pools that meander through a centuries old oak hammock and native and exotic flora. You can picnic and fish from either the beach or the seawall along the Matanzas River bordering the west boundary. Nature lovers don't miss this gem!

In St. Augustine, this is one of my favorite places. Not only can I buy chocolate but I can see how it is made. Their Chocolate Tasting Tours have been created especially for chocolate lovers. It takes you on an adventure into Whetstone Chocolates inside knowledge and tasting tips.
Over 45 minutes, you will learn the best ways to understand different types of chocolate, how it should be tasted and what to look out for. As you progress through the tour you will also discover how to pick out the flavors and texture influenced by such things as the type of cocoa used, and other secrets of the trade.

I just love this place for its quirky atmosphere (it's an original ice plant building from 1927), lively energy (it can be loud at times), and fantastic farm to table food. The place is a throw back to a simpler time, and I just love, love, love everything about it...well, except for the fact they don't take reservations and they can't seat parties bigger than 6. You'll have to break up. But they put all heart into all their dishes and even though it's in the historic district of St. Augustine, they do have their own FREE PARKING. Here's a little bit of copy from their website: "Inspired by the historical period of the early 20th century, our idea is to reintroduce our guests to a time where the experience of having a cocktail and a bite to eat was both healthful and enjoyable. Focused on the art and craft of mixing exceptional local ingredients in precise measurements to create perfect and unique flavor profiles.
Fresh, house-pressed juices and a wide assortment of bitters and specially developed syrups, result in stunning cocktails. Attention is paid to the smallest of details with three different kinds of ice, including a nod to the building’s original use as an Ice Plant, with a 300lb block of ice and custom cubes.

We love to go to the European Village and visit the 5th Element Indian Cuisine for its aromatic palette of spicy foods. The service is always great. You get to the European Village by taking the first left hand turn immediately after you go over the toll bridge to Palm Coast center.
