Mmm! Named after the supposed 6 culinary areas of Mexico, if offers delicious (delicious!) food you don't find in other venues... specialties from the Yucatán or Oaxaca areas. Trust me, as a native of central Mexico, this is the real stuff. It´s a great place to park for free, get on the Modern Streetcar and then explore the rest of the route: 4th Avenue, the University District and downtown.

Parks & Nature
There are so many trails to stop and meander, all with beautiful views. If you're here in the hot months, it's a way to escape the heat into a a pine mountain area. In the cold months, it's also beautiful and there are treats at the top! Big family area on the weekends.

This "outdoor museum" is a local favorite... very full during fall and winter weekends, because it's just unbearable in the summer! But very enlightening if you're unfamiliar with the desert flora and fauna and wish to learn about it. Open 8:30 - 5:00 from Oct to Feb. I find it rather pricey, but it is worth it. :)

But very enlightening if you're unfamiliar with the desert flora and fauna and wish to learn about it. Open 8:30 - 5:00 from Oct to Feb. I find it rather pricey, but it is worth it. :)

I'd also list this under NightClub and Music Venue. Famous stop here for drinks, though I find it rather noisy. It's great also for delicious breakfasts and brunches. Beware their desserts... scary delicious.

Every Tucsonan has a favorite store on quirky 4th Avenue! Among mine: Antigone Bookstore and Everest Souvenirs. There are tons of jewelry and craft stores, clothing and food, cafes and art, bars and people-watching. A little bit of everything.

I list Food City because it's just like being in a grocery store in Mexico: lots of the same items, music and set up. There's a HUGE one further south (I've listed a little neighborhood one that's between my house and downtown). Otherwise, there's the bland Safeway-types available almost anywhere.
