Dinner is a totally different experience where it is best to make reservations due to demand with a totally different menu. Great specialties that are unique to their chefs.

Great food, atmosphere, and location on the edge of the marsh where you can eat and watch the tide come in. Really great desserts that are uniquely Italian as well. Great service too!

Arts & Culture
Many historic places are located both on Tybee Island and other locations in the Savannah area. The lighthouse was used by union troops to direct artillery fire from Tybee Island against Fort Pulaski manned by Confederate troops. This was the first use of rifled cannon in the world which enabled the Union troops to hit the same locations of the outside wall, knocking it down. Shells that did not explode are still stuck in the wall today. Pulaski was designed by Robert E. Lee and had walls 18 feet thick, but was not prepared for the new technology of rifled artillery.

On the North end of Tybee Island there is an undeveloped area protected by the Georgia Wildlife Dept for the Sea Turtles and shore birds to nest. This is where is all happens and looks like the island would have looked hundreds of years ago.

There is an IGA store on Tybee for groceries if you can get a parking spot. However, much larger stores are on Wilmington Island with lots of parking, not that much farther away.
