Akerselva river runs through Oslo, north to south. I recommend a walk along the river, in any direction. About 15 minutes walk north of my apartment is a nice waterfall. Go there for a contemplative break from the city!

Getting Around
Closest tram station to the apartment. Trams 11, 12 and 13 take you downtown. My preferred way of getting around.
There is also a citybike rack - but they are everywhere!

You can enter the sauna for a fee on Fridays and Saturdays, but the area is open all days and for free. The sauna is especially good for the winter months, but in summer you can also jump in the fjord afterwards - at your own risk ;)
