I actually recommend their sausage egg and cheese. They have Ethiopian food but also have all your classic deli staples. Fun place to chill before heading out to explore.

Heat da Spot is a community hot spot and coffee shop on our block at Keefer Pl and Georgia Ave. It's a family owned and run cafe serving American & Ethiopian breakfast, coffee, smoothies, etc. and won People magazine's 2018 best breakfast in Washington DC (Ethiopian breakfast is usually available on Sundays 1-3pm). Be prepared to wait for service, especially on the weekends when busy. Get to know the owners--- they are lovely!
