Either go for a skate on the Rideau Canal, or a hike/ski in the Gatineau Park. However you do it, try to get outside and enjoy the various outdoor activities Ottawa has to offer. *If you need equipment, check out Kunstadt Sports on 680 Bank Street!
Amazing trails for all levels. I would definitely recommend checking out Pink Lake Trail in the summer time. Probably the most beautiful lake you will EVER see!
Gatineau Park is a great place to jog, hike or bike in the summer months. A must see in the fall when the leaves are beaming with color and there are lots of well groomed winter trails for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing or hiking. Lots of great places to grab a pint and a bite to eat after that…
great for walking, biking, skiing and just a great sightseeing place for the whole family!

“Gorgeous architecture and world-renowned exhibitions convene to create Canada’s most-visited museum. Located on the banks of the Ottawa River — with a stunning view of Parliament Hill, the National Gallery of Canada, and downtown Ottawa — the Canadian Museum of History (formerly the Canadian Museum of Civilization) provides detailed insight into 20,000 years of human history. Let your eyes wander high into the sky as you take in the world’s largest indoor collection of totem poles, walk through the largest and most comprehensive exhibition about Canadian history ever created, and sit back to enjoy a CINÉ+ film. Have your little ones in tow? They’ll love the on-site Canadian Children’s Museum, filled with hands-on games and exhibits.”
