The best surfing in all of Mexico can be found at Playa Zicatella (a 5 minute drive from La Gema) where massive waves break in the mornings and evenings. Though you’ll need to be an experienced surfer as waves can often tower over 20 feet. For those a little less adventurous, OASIS SURF SCHOOL offers long board surf lessons and surf board hire at the stunning Playa Carrizalillo, where the waves and waters are far calmer.
