Gallery Hoping in Chelsea. If you appreciate art, this is definitely a must. Every Thursday night at around 6pm - 8:30pm, there are tons and tons of gallery opening parties in this general area. There are literally, hundreds of galleries hidden in all of the warehouses right next to each other between 15th and 34th street, so go to 25th street and start wondering from there. And did I mention there is lots of free wine? And once you get a little tipsy, be careful being too critical about the art, the artist is most likely standing right next to you.
