At the far north tip of the island. There is a trail down to the valley floor that is moderate to severe. (Very slippery in the rain)

Drive to see the view or hike down to the beach, which is a 5-minute drive away from the ranch. Please be mindful that this is a sacred place, and a sacred burial ground, for Hawaiian people. Treat the valley with respect and do not walk in areas that say KAPU (this means keep out). Enjoy in a pono way.

This is a fairly easy hike into the beautiful Pololu Valley which is about an hour drive from Hale Keala. Black sand beach, parking is slim, the waves can be rough if it’s a really windy day, but you can find little tide pools of water to play in.
