Distance from Bahia Dorada: 4.3 km Situated just outside the town of Estepona, before reaching Marina, off the Avenida del Carmen, the wonderful El Cristo beach is an excellent choice for families and it is sheltered within a cove. This beach has become increasingly popular in recent years, and is currently going through development of a new hotel complex. It can get quite crowded on summer weekends.

Just around the Punta de Doncella headland from Estepona’s marina, is Playa del Cristo which is one of the most popular beaches of Estepona. There’s a breakwater on the east side and together with the natural curve of the bay and the beach’s east-facing orientation, the beach is protected from strong breezes and sea currents. It is a perfect place to learn to SUP, have lunch at the local Chiringuito or relax in the sun. SUP boards are available for rental by your hosts so please do not hesitate to ask.

This is a small cosy beach with two restaurants right at the beach. If you want evening sun at the beach, this is the place to go.
