Great drive out to New Norfolk, approx 40 mins. There is also is also Willow Court and the Nurses Quarters that have hours of mooching through interesting antiques, books and bric-a-brac. There are tea rooms, next to Willow court or the Glen Derwent Tea Rooms across the river. You can return to Hobart via the other side of the river, or carry on an extra 30 mins to MT Field National park and walk up to the Falls.

The Drill Hall Emporium is more than the usual antiques store, it is an experience. Step within and you can feel the passion and love for antiques that a mother and daughters team share. They live by the philosophy that antiques not only create unique and personal interiors, they also are a pleasure to use in the kitchen, garden and home. They are constantly searching locally and abroad to bring together a unique mix of antiques, both decorative and useful. These items are all displayed lovingly within their store, a former army drill hall.
