If you are in LA at night, head over the InterContinental hotel, the tallest building on the West Coast. From there, you can take the elevator to the 70th floor and then another elevator to the 73rd floor to go to the tallest open-air bar in the entire country.

Great food scene and sightseeing roof top bar is the highest bar in LA ( very cool views) the steakhouse is fantastic.

The bar on the 71st floor has a 360 degree view of downtown from one of the tallest buidlings. $25 cover charge to view it.

The lobby is on the 70th floor. It is free to see and there is a bar in the lobby where you can see all of LA both day and night from this high altitude. There is also a rooftop bar on the 73rd floor. Get there early as its trendy, they often have a DJ and the views are amazing!
