For me, the basta is a riddle. The restaurant is located near the market - not a typical place for a restaurant that is considered one of the best restaurants in Israel. The atmosphere in the restaurant is a market atmosphere, the food comes from the market and the menu changes every day and is handwritten every morning. The chefs of the Basta are known for stretching culinary boundaries, innovations and unexpected combinations, in addition the Basta is known for its rich and unique wine menu. The prices at Basta are very high and do not reflect the expectation from a market restaurant. And yet every time I eat at a restaurant the experience is amazing.
