Durrës is a city 25 min distance from Tirana by car. It’s known for its huge Roman amphitheater, Nearby is a 9th-century church with mosaic-covered walls. The Archaeological Museum displays pieces from the Greek, Hellenistic and Roman periods. Also is known for nice beaches in the Adriatic coast and very delicious fish restaurants and not only.
Durrës is the second most populous city of the Republic of Albania and seat of Durrës County and Durrës Municipality. It is located on a flat plain along the Albanian Adriatic Sea Coast between the mouths of the Erzen and Ishëm at the southeastern corner of the Adriatic Sea.
