Alder Lake offers an easy 2 mile loop trail, but also offers swimming! There are picnic tables at the lakeside. This lake was originally dammed for the resort of which the hotel foundation eerily still stands at the lakeside. This lake is also one of the last spots with native Catskill trout (fishing by permit only here).
