Beautiful richly decorated basilic from the late 19 century built to celebrate the Virgin Mary and emblem of the city of Lyon. There is a great vue of the city from the top of the hill. Definitely the first thing to do if you come to Lyon for the first time!

It is one of the most representative monuments, it's a symbol of the city. This site is served by the funicular. Don't miss the view from the esplanade which is wonderful !

Very nice view over the city Go with the funicular from Vieux Lyon metro station and walk downhill through Roman theatres and Montée du Gourguillon
