The Blue Ridge Parkway is a very short drive from our cabin! Expect to see stunning views around every corner. Water Rock Knob is only about A half hour away, and is the perfect place to stop, park the car, and have a beautiful picnic lunch with nearly 360° of gorgeous views. There is also a nice hour long hike (about a moderate difficulty level) to venture on from there.

Bordering McDowell County on its West side, the Blue Ridge Parkway is a fantastic drive that follows the ridge tops of the Appalachian Mountains with many spectacular overlooks, picnic areas and sights along its multi-state length.
