A beautiful smallish pond (1.2 miles long) for canoeing, kayaking. There is a short portage (0.15 mile) from the parking lot. Also a trail around the perimeter.

Also in Groton state forest you’ll find Kettle pond. Explore its banks on foot or bring your own canoe/kayak to experience it from the water. About an hour drive but again, totally worth it.
