Wonderful food and drink. Beautiful public beach with play area for the kids. Live music on weekend.

I grew up working at Elkin's and lived in Cabin #10 for a couple years! This rustic resort was build in 1932 and has a wonderful beach area. The Huckleberry Daiquiri is yummy and I also get this for my kids (virgin of course!). I sit on the red yard furniture while the kid's run across the bridge to the volleyball net/kid's beach area (so I can still see them). Something different to try is the doughnut holes for dessert dipped in huckleberry cream sauce. The morel mushroom appetizer is a MUST for EVERYONE to try. To get to Elkin's drive 10 miles NORTH on Hwy 57, then at Nordman take a RIGHT onto Reeder Bay Road. Proceed 3 miles approximately. Quick driveway entrance will be on the RIGHT.

Elkins Resort is a must see. They have an amazing view of the lake, some of the best huckleberry daiquiris on the lake, wonderful outdoor seating, and just down the road from the property.

Great spot to enjoy local foods and visit the marina and other amenities.
