Not very far from the Galle city. Bike ride of 30 minutes takes you to Kanneliya reserve. Even on the way it is all green. People live close to nature. This is one corner of biggest rain forest. Fine water falls, huge tall trees, many colourful insects, it is cool.

This rain forest is situated in Southern Province and many endemic animals and plants are living in the forest. This forest is identified as a biosphere reserve in 2004 by the UNESCO. One hour drive from here to there.
