Basket is a small pub / cafe in Split and it is one of the oldest ones - opened in 1973. For years it functioned as a gathering place for all guest profiles, journalists from nearby Slobodna Dalmacija newspapers, workers from Skver, Jugoplastika and other companies of the time. Thanks to its pub design, there is an inevitable interaction between guests that gives the bar a touch of a small lounge where everyone knows everyone. Basket still remains today a small, modest place with affordable prices and a carefully selected selection of music that brings together all sorts of locals.

If you really want to get the feel of Split, Basket is the cafe you can't miss. It is a tiny cafe dressed in wood panels and reminiscent of a genuine English pub. It is one of the oldest cafes in Split, still standing proud since the year 1973. Due to its small size you are bound to strike up a conversation with whomever enters the cafe. You'll be able to listen to a carefully selected rock music while sipping your pint of beer.
