This is the place for those who really want to get to know what the real Cuba is like. The building represents three different time periods: what Cuba was, what Cuba is today, and when you enter the restaurant, you discover Cuba’s future. Not a tourist Havana, but the version lived by Cubans. The grouper is a classic, we’ve had it on the menu since the beginning. The marlin tacos and the suckling pig confit with orange sauce are excellent as well. All the food is prepared with great care.

Museum
“Located in the former Presidential Palace, with the boat Granma on display in front of the museum. The former ''Presidential Palace' was designed by the Cuban architect Rodolfo Maruri and the Belgian architect Paul Belau who also designed the Centro Gallego, presently the Gran Teatro de La Habana. The "Presidential Palace" was inaugurated in 1920 by President Mario García Menocal. It remained the Presidential Palace until the Cuban Revolution of 1959. The building has Neo-Classical elements, and was decorated by Tiffany Studios of New York City.”

“Ernest Hemingway lived outside Havana for twenty years, and naturally got much of the inspiration for his novels from the city—more specifically, from its bars. El Floridita, Dos Hermanos and La Bodeguita del Medio were Hemingway’s favorite bars when he lived there, and today they can be visited just like any other bar. Watch out though, as a few of them have turned into tourist traps. La Bodeguita was my favorite Hemingway-approved watering hole and still retains much of the subdued, authentic atmosphere you’d expect Hemingway probably loved. They have live salsa music, and also make a mean mojito, which never hurts.”
