Cannery Row is the waterfront street in the New Monterey section of Monterey, California. It is the site of a number of now-defunct sardine canning factories.
Historic area of Downtown Monterey with restaurants, shopping, and bars.
Made famous by John Steinbeck in his book of the same name, Cannery Row is the most popular tourist area on the Monterey Peninsula. The Monterey Bay Aquarium is at the north end, so this whole area gets very busy during peak times.
