Oakledge park is a great place to go to the beach, have a picnic, walk through the woods, find the hidden treehouse or throw a frisbee around. Parking is $2/hour.

If you are in Burlington on a hot summer day, stop by Oakledge and take a swim. There is a official 'beach' but head to the south-end of the park to the cove where there is a sandy beach, a spit of rocks warmed by the summer sun to lie on and relax, and nice rocks and 'cliffs' to jump into the lake…
