This is another great local hang in Dominical, just about 15 minutes north of Makara. Great music, dancing and people watching - and amazing tropical cocktails as well. They also offer full dining menu.

Vegetarian place right on the main drag of Dominical. Lady's Night on Wednesday, according to my daughters.
