Salazar is an outdoor bar in Frogtown with a great atmosphere. They have lights hanging from the trees and family style seating that make it feel like you’re at a backyard party. Their agave spirit collection is excellent, but arguably my favorite part about coming here is the ambiance and the environment they’ve created. The Branzino is an entire grilled fish, head and all—they serve it with fresh tortillas on the side and you’re encouraged to grab one and use it to grab a hunk of fish.

Fantastic Mexican-inspired food in a hip outdoor setting. Great place to meet friends! And you can bike there:) Lonely Planet says: "Located in a renovated auto-repair garage, this hip spot in Frogtown (where Silver Lake meets Atwater Village) feels like a trip to the desert. Look for salads such as mesquite-grilled Caesar with parmesan crisps, meat tacos with salsa vaquera, hearty mushroom tacos, and mesquite-grilled mains like ribeye, flat iron and whole trout. The cocktail program also rocks, with aguas frescas (fresh-pressed fruit drinks) made into cocktails such as the verde (pear brandy, celery gin, Granny Smith apple, cucumber, cilantro, lime and ginger)."

wonderful outdoor dining at this cool restaurant on Fletcher. It's pretty popular and doesn't take reservations so head there early and catch a band at Zebulon next-door.
