Although touristy, Pike Place Market is one of Seattle’s top sights and absolutely free – except for the money you’ll be tempted to spend here. Pike Place Market is one of the United States' oldest continually-operating public farmers' markets, originally opened to the public in 1907. With the range of vendors, from fishmongers and florists to food stands, demonstrates the Port of Seattle’s importance and why it became such a valuable jewel in the Pacific Northwest’s crown. This is a great place to shop and people-watch any day of the year.

Also duh, but if you go Friday - Sunday make sure to snag some popcorn from Cobb’s - it’s the best! Pike’s Place Chowder is great, do the sampler and get a little bit of everything! Beecher’s has great cheese & Mac & cheese!
