DWT (Devon Wildlife Trust) acquired the disused clay quarry in Meeth, only three miles north of Churchy Cottage and have since turned it into a nature reserve which is now bursting at the seams with native wildlife. Grab a pair of binoculars and keep an eye out for creepy crawlies!

Lovely tranquil area for being at one with nature, also just off the Traka Trail that heads up to Barnstaple and beyond, forming an integral a part of the Devon Coast to Coast cycle route (National Cycle Network 27).
