From Farmville, it is a few miles to the High Bridge itself than spans the Appomattox River Valley. There is a closer (1 mile to the bridge) trailhead down River Road just north of the river in Farmville.

High Bridge is probably unlike anything you've experienced before. A one mile walk or bike ride will take you to the bridge. You can walk/run/bike much further along the rails to trails system but make sure you get to High Bridge.
