This is a must see if you like biking or a nice run or walk. Incredible views of both the Green Mountains and the Adirondacks
Very cool way to see the lake and get a good walk in. Very flat but depending on snow cover, it could be an easy and very close walk out. Drive to the bike path parking lot and depart from there.
A must for those who like to walk or bike. This is the very end of the 12-mile Burlington Bike Path. You can bike all the way here from Burlington (rent bikes at Local Motion, Ski Rack, or Outdoor Gear Exchange) or you can drive to the park area and walk from there. The narrow path goes right out into the lake so you have water on both sides of you and amazing views of the mountains. * If you're an avid biker you can continue on the bike ferry (in summer months) up into the Champlain Islands). I highly recommend!

Colchester causeway is a GREAT visit stop for cyclers. 2 miles across the lake , it is a dedicated path for bikes and includes a free ferry ride. Pick it up from downtown Burlington and stop off at North Beach and take a swim or get a creemie! 10 miles end to end causeway to downtown.
Colchester Causeway Trail is a 10.9 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Winooski, Vermont that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for walking, running, and road biking and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
