Great place to catch a sunrise or sunset. Trails going around and also through a wooded area. Backside of island has area where people jump off the “black rocks” into the lake . *Warning sadly Dogs are not permitted outside vehicles at this park* 1.5 miles from house

This is a beautiful multi-recreation park. There are picnic areas, hiking trails, beaches, a drive/walk path, and more. Park near the entrance and hike the loop - it has truly amazing views of the lake!

Beautiful natural park for walking, running, snow shoeing, viewing the lake and the functional Ore Dock. There is a playground for the kids and an ice cream store in the summer. Sunset point has great views and the park in the location of Black Rocks a popular summer swimming area.

Jump off of black rocks for a thrill, and then enjoy the sunset on the west side!

I recommend hiking around the Isle. Heed the warning signs regarding dangerous cliffs. Almost every year someone gets hurt because they go past the signs. If you time it right maybe 1.5 hours you can get to the other side called "Sunset point" to catch the sun setting past the Lake Superior Horizon. Keep an eye out for wildlife. Many deer roam the area and every so often a rare albino deer is born.
