Don't miss Sabino Canyon! Recommend hiking to Seven Falls (for the more adventurous hiker) or taking the electric tram up to the top of Sabino Canyon (for the less serious hiker).
Soaring mountains, deep canyons and the unique plants and animals of the Sonoran Desert all found here. Stop in at the visitors center and bookstore for information and tram rides. Guests are also welcome to hike. Paid parking and fee for tram.
Hike up the trails or take a tram. Beautiful waterfalls flowing after the rains. Sometimes you get lucky and see some wildlife!
This is truly an amazing canyon! Interesting historical Narrated tram ride on the way up, 9 stops. Ride up and down all day with a pass. Gift shop, restrooms, picnic areas. An absolutely gorgeous place!

“Hike the two-mile, round-trip Mica View Loop in the east region to get up close to saguaros with arms that seem to point, salute and even hug. a great place to trail run or just do an easy hike.”

“"The White Dove of the Desert" is a must see. One of my favorite sites to visit in Tucson. Go inside the church, peek into the chapel, walk around and admire the architecture, cute gift shop. Eat Indian Fry Bread prepared by a native from the Tohono O'odham tribe fried on an open air mesquite grill as you order. Climb up to the top of the hill and overlook the city. I've grown up in Tucson and going here is still a treat for me. So close to town and something you don't want to miss.”

“Catalina State Park sits at the base of the majestic Santa Catalina Mountains. The park is a haven for desert plants and wildlife and nearly 5,000 saguaros. The 5,500 acres of foothills, canyons and streams invites camping, picnicking and bird watching — more than 150 species of birds call the park home. The park provides miles of equestrian, birding, hiking, and biking trails which wind through the park and into the Coronado National Forest.”
