Robson Street is Vancouver's best street for shopping, and people watching! It's a great place to find brand-name designer stores and restaurants.

Robson Street is packed with stores and restaurants, from Granville Street to Jervis Street. Home to over 100 shops, it's also the epicenter of Downtown Vancouver's shopping district. Within short walking distance of Robson are the department stores The Bay(Hudson Bay Company), Nordstrom and Holt Renfrew as well as the only mall in Downtown Vancouver, the indoor Pacific Centre (at Robson and Granville). One block north of Robson Street--and running parallel to it--is Alberni Street, home to high-end luxury brands like Gucci and Christian Dior (sometimes referred to as Vancouver's "Luxury Zone"). Altogether, Robson Street, Alberni Street, and the Downtown department stores make up the Downtown Vancouver shopping district. Boasting a truly diverse array of shops, Robson Street and the stores around it offer fashion for everyone and every budget. Looking for inexpensive shoes? There's an Aldo on Robson Street. Robson Street is the center of all activity and the shopping street that every shopaholic just has to visit in Vancouver. This area is hip, fun and hence very popular. The shopping is ofcourse the main tourist attraction but there is a lot to do and see in the area. You can shop at the boutiques as well as the tinier stores. There are charming cafes and a patio too. There are also several popular restaurants to choose from. The evenings are an especially good time to visit since musicians and comedy acts take to the streets creating a lively and wonderful atmosphere. If you are looking for something a bit relaxing you can try a massage at one of the many spas. Even if you aren’t a shopaholic be sure to take a stroll down the street to enjoy the sights and sounds of the area. It is also a great place to stay at, being both central and popular.
