Wonderful place to visit for a stroll through scenic gardens. The lake in the middle has two resident pairs of platypuses which you often can see frolicking around! Look for the bubbles in the water and follow them until the platypus surfaces. If you manage to get there at a quiet time you will often see them frolicking !

The Tasmanian Arboretum is a collection of trees of the temperate world in a beautiful and peaceful landscape. Within the 66 ha park sits the natural heritage of the Eugenana limestone beds and the marks of colonial and early Federation industrial endeavor. We are open every day of the year.

This is place to see a platypus in its own habitat. Head to the dam during the day and wonder around the waters edge until you spy a platypus. Then enjoy a stroll around the various sectors of the park.

This is the best place to see a Tasmanian platypus in the wild. Also a great place for a Bbq or picnic
