Departure Bay Beach is a great place for beach combing any time of year. During the summer months there is a designated unpatrolled swimming area. The playground within the park is fenced.

Swimming, Kayaking or any non motor water sports are perfect on these calm waters. Watch the ferries go in and out of the bay as you take a stroll along the sea wall, picnic, play in the playground or enjoy a cup of Joe across the street. Tennis courts, sports fields and children's spray park also located across the street.
