The museum was created by the artist himself and his friend and secretary, Jaime Sabartès, who donated his collection to the cause. More than 3,800 works make up the permanent collection, and it also hosts an array of temporary exhibitions. It's located in the located in the Hôtel Salé in rue de Thorigny, so it's a grand place outside and in.

Arranging the paintings in this way gives you a fascinating insight into the development of Picasso thinking over time and shows how he developed the distinctive designs that he is famous for today.

There are many things to do culturally, but my favourite museum is the Picasso museum. Very touristic so be patient, but if you like art I really recommend it.
