Little penguins are always about on the shores of West Beach in Burnie. Wonderful to see them come ashore of an evening.

View the fairy penguins as they venture their way back from Bass Strait from October to March each year. Local guides tell you all about them and it's free for all. The best time is from dusk.

See little Fairy Penguins late evening when it starts getting dark October to March. Getvthere a bit earlier and sit on the beach and wait for them to walk past you to their little nest.

The number of penguins depends on what time of the year you go. Helpful volunteer guides. Enjoyable experience for young and old. It's right in the town on the foreshore. Parking available.
